Heart-to-Hearts
My best communication coaches by far are my two sons. From the moment they were born, they constantly created situations where my communication skills were put to the test. Many a night, I woke up to their crying when they were still very young. So, I went to them and gently rocked them in my arms while singing softly. Soon enough, they went back to sleep, even though they did not understand a word I was saying.
What is the key to successful communication?
Whether or not we’re aware of it, communication is something we practice all day every day. Despite this and the fact that we are all born communication experts, we do not always manage to get across exactly what we mean – myself included. I have lost count of the times I felt frustrated because I failed to connect with the person I wanted to communicate with. And I can safely say that every single time, this was because I was giving them a piece of my mind instead of my heart.
People feel the message
The heart is where we experience the connection with ourself. And once we connect with ourself, with our core identity, we can connect with the core identity of anyone and anything else. Not so much through the words we use but their energy. This is because people do not read or hear the message, they feel it.
Communication coaching
As you may have noticed, even an experienced communication professional like myself has his off days. However, I am always striving to optimize the way I communicate. I also love helping other people with their communication challenges with Heart-to-Heart communication coaching.
How about a Heart-to-Heart?
A Heart-to-Heart session provides you with important insights and ways to optimize your communication. It takes an hour and a half of your time and your willingness to reflect on yourself and how you communicate. We can connect online or on-site, in a one-time session, in regular sessions, or as part of an annual subscription.

The human heart is much more than just a pump. It’s the first organ to be formed in the embryo. It has its own neural centre and a short-term and long-term memory. And its electromagnetic field is about 5,000 times stronger than that of the brain. In short, the heart is where the action is, not the brain.
